The Flatirons turn pink. The room hums awake.

A modern yoga sanctuary · Boulder, CO
Yoga, kettlebell strength, and sound healing under one light-filled roof in downtown Boulder. Warm, welcoming, and made for every body — come exactly as you are.
Why Moonstone
We believe a practice should hold all of you — the stillness and the sweat, the breath and the backbone. Moonstone is where movement, nature, and community meet under one roof, so you can soften what has grown rigid and strengthen what has gone quiet.
— Mara Quist, founder
The practices
Every class, every level, every body — taught by people who learn your name.
Our breath-led signature flow. Wave-like sequencing that builds slowly, crests once, and settles you back down. All levels, always welcome.
Warm room
Half the speed, twice the attention. Long transitions, generous holds, and plenty of time to feel each shape from the inside.
Unheated
Floor-based postures held three to five minutes. Connective tissue softens, the nervous system follows, and the mind settles last — just as it should.
Unheated
Bolsters, blankets, and almost nothing asked of you. Sometimes the kindest thing you can do all week is rest on purpose.
Candlelit
A steady, warming practice timed to first light over the Flatirons. Coffee optional — most mornings you will not need it.
Warm room
Soft, supported movement and breath for every stage of pregnancy, in good company. Always taught at a gentle, easeful pace.
Unheated
The Moonstone minute
Every class at Moonstone begins the same way: one shared breath to arrive. Try it now — follow the stone as it brightens and dims. In through the nose, hold at the top, and let the exhale be longer than the inhale.
Longer exhales gently cue the body toward its rest-and-restore state.
A day at Moonstone
This week
Forty-plus classes a week across two rooms. Mats, props, and tea always included.
Every class is all-levels unless noted. Schedules shift gently with the seasons.
The Stone Room
Yoga gives you range. Kettlebells give you roots.
Twice a day in the Stone Room, we trade the mat for iron — small-group kettlebell classes built on the same principles as our flows: breath, alignment, honest effort. Every membership includes both, because we think a complete practice swings both ways.

Sound + stillness
Twice a month, the lights drop and the Sky Room fills with bowls, chimes, and gong wash. A sound bath asks nothing of you but horizontal attendance — many people call it the deepest rest of their month.
The teachers
Fourteen teachers and coaches, one shared belief: the person on the mat matters more than the pose.

Founder · Moonflow, Power
Twenty years on the mat, and still happily a student.

Moonflow · Sound
Sequences like a songwriter — verse, chorus, hush.

Yin · Restore
Believes stillness is a skill, and teaches it with patience.

Kettlebell Strength
Equal parts coach and metronome. Form before intensity.

Slow Flow · Prenatal
Holds one of the warmest rooms in Boulder, by a wide margin.

Yin · Moonflow
Came in for a tight hamstring, stayed for a decade.
200-hour teacher training
Our 200-hour training is small, rigorous, and personal — twelve trainees, five faculty, one autumn. You will study anatomy and philosophy, find your teaching voice, and practice-teach real classes with real feedback long before graduation day.
History, ethics, and the shape of a modern practice
Functional anatomy taught on bodies, not slides
Building waves — arc, peak, and landing
Cueing, silence, and holding space under nerves
Consent-forward assists and accessible options
Teach real community classes with mentor feedback
From our community
I came in for the yoga and stayed for the people. Tea after class turned into friendships I genuinely did not expect to make in my thirties.
The kettlebell classes changed how I hike, ski, and carry my kids. The fact that it is all one membership still feels like a loophole.
As a beginner I was braced for judgment. What I got was a teacher who learned my name before my second class.
Sliding-scale and community spots keep our doors open to everyone in Boulder.
